Meet my Christmas Tree

Today, when all my Romanian friends have already watched Star Wars, instead of asking them how it was I went to do other fun activities – buying the Christmas tree. I love buying Christmas trees here, so many versions, so many places, so many options 😀

In Romania the tradition is to make the Christmas tree in the evening of December 24th, before the carolers arrive but I’m here in the US so I went to get the tree earlier. Got my sport outfit and shopping here I come!

After a long series of negotiation, Jeff has convinced me that 6′ are tall enough so 30 minutes later I had the Christmas Tree. So please meet Brad (/bræd/), btw he’s almost 7′.

When do you buy the Christmas tree?

  1. Looks like you had a fun day shopping for your tree. I am Jewish and I’ve never had a Christmas tree but I love visiting my friends’ homes and seeing their trees. When I lived in NYC, I loved to walk on Broadway during the Christmas season because all the trees were lined up for sale every few blocks and the smell was like a pine forest. Loved it

I know that in your religion you lighting up each night one candle on that special candelabrum (menorah I think) but what other tradition do you have for that special celebration?

I love getting a real tree each year, it’s one of my favourite traditions! I usually go with my Dad & brother the weekend before Christmas to choose one 🙂
